Meet the Missionaries
Sheriff Family
Peter Sheriff is the Country Director for Willamette International, assisting in the various ministries that WI is involved in. He and his wife Emily have four children: Marie (12), Ben (5), Hadassah (3), Lettie Grace (2). Emily is a nurse and has been living and working in Sierra Leone for the past 10 years. She is currently homeschooling her two oldest children as well assisting in administration at Grace Village.
Burch Family
Michael Burch is the groundskeeper for Willamette International and is also working on opening a new metal roofing shop. He and his wife Nicole have two kids; Eleanor and a new baby on the way. Nicole Is the Communications Coordinator for Grace Village. Michael and Nicole have been in Sierra Leone together for 3 years.
Haylee Ils
Haylee Ils is the new Education Coordinator for Grace International Academy. She is assisting the teachers and administration of the school, located at Grace Village. Her main focus is developing curriculum, training the teachers, and providing specialized instruction for students as needed. She recently graduated from Corban University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Endorsement.
Janelle Lonbeck
Janelle Lonbeck is the Housing Coordinator for SIL Cameroon in Cameroon, Central Africa. She supports
Bible Translation and language development through administration and management of three of the
SIL centers there, including short and long-term housing for missionaries, national staff and other
guests. Janelle has worked in Cameroon for the past ten years.
